Job summary

INNOVIM is seeking a highly motivated Tools Portfolio Manager to support NASA’s EOSDIS Evolution and Development 3 contract. The role focuses on governing the full lifecycle of organizational tools, documenting and cataloging them, and delivering ROI analyses to guide tool decisions for internal teams and the scientific community.

The position requires extensive Earth Science experience, strong analytical and documentation skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure tool

Qualifications

• Background in software engineering, IT management, product management, or a related technical discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in the Earth Science domain, including support for scientific workflows or tools.
• Strong analytical skills, including ROI modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing clear documentation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of organizational tools and ensure documentation, evaluation, governance and maintenance.
• Develop a centralized, accessible tool library with ROI modeling.
• Implement governance and security practices for tool usage across the organization.
• Provide guidance to internal teams and the scientific community on tool selection, usability, and alignment with needs.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, IT teams and security personnel to maintain alignment with goals.
