Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Level 2 Cloud Software Engineer to develop, secure and optimize large cloud-based software systems. The role emphasizes back-end processing, information retrieval and cloud analytics work, often in team settings with strict security requirements.

TS/SCI with poly is mandatory, with extensive experience in Big-Data cloud tech and distributed computing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, plus 8+ years in software engineering.

Qualifications

• Eight (8+) years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Current TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four additional years may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth knowledge of Information Retrieval for cloud systems and indexing.
• Design, develop and test Cloud MapReduce analytics workflows.
• Implement code interacting with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
• Oversee software development tasks ensuring methodological adherence.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and software development standards.
