Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Cloud Security Engineering team within the Security & Trust Organization. You will lead and operate cloud security services across major cloud platforms, partnering with cross-functional teams to secure Cisco's cloud estate.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, architecture guidance, and driving AI-enhanced security outcomes, with a focus on scalable security controls and CSPM-like capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of engineering experience and technical leadership.
• 2+ years directly leading engineering teams, with coaching and performance management.
• 5+ years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) and cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, policy enforcement, and risk remediation.
• Experience delivering and operating cloud or security services in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Shape strategy and roadmaps for cloud security capabilities.
• Own technical direction and delivery, improving cloud security capabilities.
• Champion AI adoption to automate routine work and strengthen security outcomes.
• Establish engineering and operational standards across services with measurable metrics.
• Collaborate with program managers, IT, cloud operations, and business units to define requirements and communicate progress.
