Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Engineer to secure IaaS environments, implement cATO, and integrate DevSecOps across hybrid clouds. The role emphasizes defensive operations, risk management, and high‑assurance networking.

The position requires AWS/Azure networking experience, Kubernetes/Docker proficiency, and Python scripting. Onsite work in North Alabama with active secret clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Master’s degree with related experience.
• Hands-on with AWS and/or Azure networking.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker (Podman, Rancher optional).
• Python scripting for automation or tooling.
• Linux administration in sensitive environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; able to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply network segmentation, zero-trust policies, and access controls for cloud and on-premise assets.
• Configure and maintain secure routing between data-centers, remote sites, and public clouds.
• Build and operate networking services in AWS and Azure (VPCs, Subnets, VPN/ExpressRoute, Transit Gateways).
• Enable high-throughput multicast or broadcast traffic where required.
• Integrate Kubernetes networking with SDN or hardware appliances.
• Automate provisioning, change-control, and policy enforcement with IaC tools.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to surface events in real time.
• Partner with DevSecOps and engineers to define secure connectivity requirements.
• Produce run-books, architecture diagrams, and documentation for networking solutions.
