Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or Master’s with 3 years of related experience.
• Proven network design experience for restricted/compliant networks and secure inter-domain communication.
• Hands-on cloud networking experience (VPCs, VNets, peering, transit gateways).
• Linux OS experience.
• Knowledge of multicast UDP and broadcast UDP traffic handling.
• Experience with SDN and hardware-defined networking.
• Direct experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting networking within Kubernetes clusters.
• Ability to create secure routing paths between isolated enclaves/domains.
• Active secret clearance is required.
• Full-time onsite support is expected.
• Resident of the North Alabama area.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure networks across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Build and manage cloud networking infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deploy SDN platforms and hardware-based networking appliances; integrate with Kubernetes via CNI.
• Connect remote cloud instances to on-premise data centers and support hybrid cloud.
• Automate provisioning and changes using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
