Job summary

Leidos is seeking an energetic DevSecOps/Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable simulation and software systems for Navy training. You will implement cloud and on-prem infrastructure, build secure CI/CD pipelines, and lead DevSecOps practices across development teams.

You will work with Kubernetes, IaC tools, and a suite of software factories while mentoring junior engineers and delivering high-availability systems for mission-critical training solutions.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related field.
• Professional experience with Kubernetes, Git, Istio or similar service mesh, Helm, Ansible, OpenTofu or Terraform, and Docker or Podman.
• Experience administering Linux systems (RHEL/ Rocky Linux) and AWS.
• Ability to design, deploy, secure, and operate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms (AWS EKS, RKE2).
• Develop and maintain IaC with OpenTofu or Terraform; create Ansible automation.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Jenkins; manage related tools.
• Implement security practices across the software lifecycle (SAST, SCA, scanning).
• Administer Linux and AWS cloud environments; ensure system hardening and incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to runbooks, standards, and documentation.
