Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud environments supporting U.S. government missions. The role covers AWS GovCloud, Azure, and hybrid/multi-cloud setups with emphasis on NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD ILs.

You will work with DevSecOps and infra teams to automate security controls, maintain SSPs/SARs, and ensure continuous monitoring and incident response in regulated environments. On-site five days/week in Playa Vista, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of云 cloud security engineering experience.
• 5–9+ years of cloud security engineering experience in multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD IL‑2/4/5 and related frameworks.
• Experience designing secure cloud architectures and IAM/RBAC controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD ILs, and SCCA requirements.
• Configure IAM/RBAC, JIT access, Key Vaults, and Zero Trust across cloud environments.
• Deploy and optimize cloud-native security tools, SIEM, and CSPM/CWPP solutions.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security configuration reviews.
• Develop SSPs, SARs, POA&M, and risk/compliance reporting for cloud ops.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead security reviews of cloud architectures and provide SME guidance.
