Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting a global customer base and data center operations. You will work across systems, applications, and networking while applying advanced Linux expertise to solve non-routine technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux systems (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Scripting with Bash or Python.
• Experience with virtualization, networking, or software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Linux system upgrades and infrastructure changes for scalability and reliability.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Serve as escalation point for Linux issues and determine remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to design and support data center deployments.
• Perform migrations, evaluate dependencies and execute optimally.
• Monitor performance and security posture and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop automation, scripts, and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Produce documentation and diagrams to support future scaling.
• Align systems administration with platform reliability and business objectives.
