Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, scalability and security of critical production systems across cloud and air-gapped environments.

You will lead design and implementation of observability, automation, incident response, and operational best practices while partnering with DevOps, infrastructure and security teams to improve resilience and reduce risk. This role offers strong growth in cloud infrastructure and SRE expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• 8+ years of experience with Linux systems administration and networking in AWS.
• Python scripting and automation experience.
• IaC with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting and operations.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in SRE/DevOps/Platform Eng, or 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance, scalability and security of production systems and platforms.
• Lead design/implementation of observability, automation, incident response and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure and security teams to improve resilience and reduce risk.
• Drive root cause analysis, capacity planning, reliability standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
