Job summary

eShepherd is seeking a Software Engineer (CloudOps) to own and evolve our AWS/cloud infrastructure across production systems, working with an Australia-based engineering team. The role focuses on reliability, automation and observability to support our US business hours.

You’ll build Infrastructure as Code, manage CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot production incidents and collaborate with software, firmware, IoT and Customer Success teams to improve platform reliability and operability.

Qualifications

Strong cloud engineering fundamentals with ownership mindset.
Experience managing production-grade AWS infrastructure and services.
Proficient in server-side development languages (Java, Python, Node.js) and MySQL.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain and improve AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
Respond to production incidents and implement durable fixes.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code, automation and CI/CD pipelines.
Improve platform monitoring, observability and reliability.
Collaborate with software, firmware, IoT and Customer Success teams to resolve ops challenges.
Contribute to ongoing evolution of cloud platform and engineering practices.
