Job summary

Fitch Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering team in a role focused on AI-assisted tooling, automation, and observability to raise reliability and developer experience. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable, resilient services that drive business value.

The position involves designing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud security, and implementing automation to reduce toil.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB, S3, RDS, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of a scripting language (Python, Go, or PowerShell)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps tools (Terraform, ArgoCD)
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts to team members
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with globally distributed development teams to design, build, and operate reliable, resilient, and high-performing applications and services
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to optimize build processes and deployments for reliability, security, and efficiency
• Identify, contain, and mitigate risk across all cloud environments, maintaining a robust security posture
• Implement proactive monitoring and observability to detect and prevent issues
• Develop and maintain automation and tooling solutions, including AI-assisted approaches to reduce toil
• Uphold infrastructure standards and design patterns across cloud environments
• Troubleshoot high-priority incidents and conduct blameless post-mortems
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to advance secure cloud platform strategy
• Plan and execute disaster recovery testing for business continuity
• Promote cost-conscious design and share knowledge across teams
• Participate in on-call rotation
