Job summary

Motive is seeking a Red Team Security Engineer to join the Product Security Team and partner with software and engineering teams to advance our security posture. You will lead adversary emulation and offensive assessments across cloud environments, driving remediation and secure design choices.

You will evaluate cloud infrastructure, IAM architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud-native services, and report findings concisely to stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in offensive security, red teaming, penetration testing, and detection validation.
• Ability to map findings to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and communicate clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, GXPN, GPEN, or cloud security certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute red team operations and adversary simulations focused on cloud environments.
• Evaluate the security of cloud infrastructure, identity architectures, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and cloud-native services.
• Identify and validate attack paths involving IAM misconfigurations, overprivileged roles, secrets exposure, metadata abuse, and insecure automation.
• Assess detection and response coverage by exercising logging, alerting, monitoring, and incident response processes with blue team partners.
• Track emerging attacker techniques and cloud exploitation trends relevant to modern enterprise environments.
