TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a Rochester, NY hybrid role. You will lead analysis, design, and deployment of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, focusing on virtualization and HA environments.

This contract-to-hire position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and willingness to provide after-hours support as needed. Ideal candidates have expertise with Linux, VMware, and enterprise tooling, plus experience with Tableau, Oracle databases, and Cognos.

Qualifications

• Expertise in virtualization and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Strong server hardware and storage networking knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of infrastructure solutions for on-premise and cloud
• Oversee proactive performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning
• Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed and coordinate after-hours maintenance
• Maintain documentation, interoperability matrices, and vendor engagements
