Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking an experienced IT/CTS infrastructure engineer to manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure, delivering virtualization and storage solutions, security patching and disaster recovery preparedness. You will design and maintain a continuous integration stack and automate deployments, while providing 24/7 on-call support.

A High School diploma with 7 years of related experience is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with healthcare/education experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 7 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in higher education or healthcare field preferred.
• Experience leading a team of Systems Engineers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure services including virtualization, storage, and security patching.
• Design, setup and maintain a continuous infrastructure integration stack with source control and automated deployment.
• Lead proactive performance monitoring, capacity analysis and patch deployment to ensure platform stability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and interoperability with vendors.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support when scheduled and respond to after-hours maintenance needs.
