Job description

Location: New York City

Work Setup: Client-facing / field-based project role with approximately 50–75% travel to NYC-area client sites

Experience: 3–5+ years MSP experience, including 2+ years of hands‑on project engineering

For this opportunity, you’ll be joining a growing New York City-based Managed Service Provider supporting clients across financial services, hedge funds, private equity, RIAs, law firms, and other professional services organizations where uptime, cybersecurity, and compliance are critical.

This is a true Project Engineer position — not a help desk role. You’ll own hands‑on infrastructure projects from implementation through completion, working alongside senior engineers and project managers to modernize client environments across Microsoft cloud, servers, networking, security, and endpoint management.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Execute infrastructure projects from design through completion
  • Lead technical portions of new client onboardings and offboardings
  • Perform Windows Server-to-Server and Server-to-Cloud migrations
  • Implement Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions
  • Handle network installations and infrastructure upgrades
  • Complete office builds, moves, and technology deployments
  • Implement MDM/MAM and Conditional Access
  • Configure and deploy Meraki networking environments
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues that arise during projects
  • Work alongside Project Managers and Account Teams throughout implementations
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Travel to client sites for installations, assessments, and hands‑on project work
  • Communicate directly with clients as the technical SME throughout projects
Technical Background

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 3–5+ years of MSP experience
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Project Engineering experience
  • Microsoft 365
  • Windows Server
  • SharePoint
  • MDM/MAM
  • Conditional Access
  • Meraki
  • ConnectWise
  • RMM / PSA platforms
  • Server and cloud migrations
  • Strong client‑facing communication
Who This Makes Sense For

This is a strong fit for an MSP Project Engineer or senior Systems Engineer who wants to get away from reactive support and spend their time delivering projects.

You’ll get exposure to sophisticated client environments, particularly within financial and professional services, while handling projects across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, and Microsoft technologies.
