Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer to design, build and operate a scalable cloud platform that serves a global on-demand logistics engine. You will work across cloud infrastructure, security, and developer experience to create reliable, secure, and cost-efficient systems.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager of the Cloud Infrastructure team, this hybrid role is based in New York City and focuses on turning ambiguous requests into platform products adopted across the

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in infrastructure, cloud, or platform
• Experience with AWS IAM, Organizations, VPC, S3, ECR
• GCP experience is a plus
• Experience with cloud networking primitives like VPC, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway
• Terraform and GitOps tooling (Atlantis, ArgoCD)
• Go and Python programming languages
• Kubernetes experience
• Track record of turning ambiguous problems into scalable solutions
• Proactive, autonomous, and capable of working in ambiguity

Responsibilities

• Design and build the foundational cloud platform for DoorDash engineers
• Own the paved path for cloud, enabling self-service tooling
• Partner with product and platform teams to create platform products
• Drive multi-cloud initiatives and cost efficiency across cloud foundations
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and influence cloud architecture
• Improve productivity and operations through automation and AI tooling
• Participate in a shared support rotation
