Job summary

DoorDash seeks a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the foundational cloud platform across engineering teams from our New York hub. You’ll own IAM, networking primitives, and infrastructure as code, driving secure, cost-efficient self-service tooling and multi-cloud foundations.

You’ll mentor engineers, set technical direction, partner with product teams, and push for platform products that scale. Hybrid role with NYC office; salary ranges and equity included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on AWS experience; GCP experience is a plus.
• Experience with cloud networking primitives (VPC, PrivateLink, Transit Gateway, VPC peering).
• Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform) and GitOps workflows (Atlantis or ArgoCD).
• Programming in Go and Python; Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the foundational cloud platform (IAM, networking, quotas, IaC) for DoorDash.
• Own the paved path for cloud at DoorDash: secure, cost-efficient self-service tooling.
• Partner with product and platform teams to turn recurring needs into platform products.
• Drive cloud-wide initiatives: multi-cloud, cost efficiency, security posture.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, influence cloud architecture decisions.
• Improve productivity and ops through automation and AI tooling; participate in on-call rotation.
