Job summary

DoorDash Labs seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to shape architecture and integration for next-generation delivery platforms. You will translate business objectives into clear engineering specifications, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory alignment across diverse hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, requirements management, or a related role in a safety-critical/high-complexity environment.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, Polarion) and traceability processes.
• Experience developing and validating system requirements in self-driving, aerospace, or safety-critical domains.
• Ability to collaborate across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Reliability Engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with cross-functional impact.
• Experience using Python or SQL for data analysis, modeling, or test automation.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements and interfaces for delivery platforms, aligning business goals with verifiable technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and interface control documents across subsystems and components.
• Lead trade studies and risk assessments to evaluate design options and balance objectives.
• Create verification and validation strategies including test plans and acceptance criteria; coordinate cross-discipline verification activities.
• Act as liaison to regulatory bodies, operations teams, suppliers, and program management for compliance and smooth integration.
