Job summary

Verily Health seeks a cloud engineer to help build and scale our cloud platform. You will work with software, hardware, data science, and security teams to implement secure, cost-efficient infrastructure and better tooling across cloud environments.

Responsibilities include automating cloud operations, documenting best practices, and advocating infrastructure decisions within the engineering org. Strong emphasis on HIPAA/GDPR/FedRAMP compliance and observability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
• 2+ years of IaC using Terraform and GitOps with GitHub Actions/Argo CD/Jenkins.
• 1+ years programming/scripting (Go, Python, Shell) for cloud workloads.
• 1+ years establishing observability and incident management for high availability.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud infra using automation.
• Specify functional and nonfunctional cloud requirements.
• Follow standards to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
• Automate infra for Verily products on GCP and other clouds via IaC.
• Reduce toil by creating self-service cloud workflows.
