Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer with AWS experience, Go programming skills, and a strong Linux foundation to advance our cloud and big data initiatives. The role emphasizes autonomous problem solving, open communication, and collaboration with architects in a hybrid setting, with a Columbia, MD office presence.

Qualifications

• Five plus (5+) years of experience with Bachelor’s in related field or three (3) years relevant experience with Master in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.
• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes), Ansible, storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn, etc.).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications and proficiency in shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate is a strong systems integrator with an eye for opportunity to enhance, optimize, or increase robustness of an existing code base.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and be able to leverage modern tools to define, build and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Other duties as assigned
