Job summary

FinOps Weekly in Chicago is seeking a Senior Director of Cloud to lead Platform Reliability, Cloud Strategy, Governance, and Engineering Operations. You will guide enterprise-scale initiatives across SRE, cloud architecture, governance, and performance reporting, shaping long-term platform strategy while ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.

The role demands 15+ years in cloud engineering with a track record in regulated environments and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

15+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform reliability.
Experience leading in regulated environments.
Deep expertise across Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, CI/CD, observability, and governance.
Proven leadership in enterprise SRE or platform engineering at scale.

Responsibilities

Scale mature Site Reliability Engineering practices (SLOs, SLAs, incident management).
Define cloud governance and enterprise architecture standards (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Lead platform compliance, audit remediation, and operational risk management.
Drive observability, KPI reporting, and data-driven engineering decisions.
Partner withProduct, PMO, Security, and Infrastructure leadership on platform delivery.
