Job summary

SFE is seeking a Cloud Patch Engineer in Jacksonville, FL to coordinate Windows Server and VMware patching, engage with engineering and operations teams, and drive a reliable end-to-end patching pipeline.

The role requires experience in patch management, vulnerability management, cloud compute environments, Excel data analysis, and Agile with Jira. Familiarity with audit processes is a plus and onsite work in Jacksonville is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with patch management processes and vulnerability management concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and VMware operating systems; hands-on experience preferred.
• Understanding of cloud-hosted compute environments.
• Strong Excel data analysis skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Windows Server and VMware patch management activities with engineering, Operations, vendors, and owners to support end-to-end patching.
• Provide governance and oversight of timely OS patch delivery.
• Create and manage patching schedules/slots and change tickets with approvals.
• Coordinate remediation of gaps in patch compliance reporting.
• Support patch management tooling (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Act as a key contact for internal/external audits on patching queries.
• Maintain operating procedure docs for patch management with stakeholders.
• Interface with Major Incident Management teams for critical patch deployments.
