Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the Global Cloud Infrastructure team. You will enable enterprise teams to leverage public cloud platforms securely, reliably, and cost-effectively, turning cloud data into actionable insights and supporting ongoing service improvements.

You will gain hands-on experience in cloud operations, FinOps, data analytics, reporting, service support, and AI technologies, while collaborating with experienced engineers and managers in a hybrid work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a tech/analytical field.
Foundational cloud computing knowledge and IT service concepts.
Strong Excel skills with formulas, lookups, pivots, and data validation.
Analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical/non-technical audiences.
Ability to learn new technologies and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain cloud cost, utilization, readiness, security, and performance dashboards.
Analyze cloud billing, trends, and optimization opportunities; support FinOps reporting.
Support cloud operations by managing access requests and coordinating escalations.
Modernize reporting by transitioning to enterprise data warehouses and BI solutions.
Evaluate emerging cloud/AI tech and contribute to governance and adoption frameworks.
Maintain documentation and track work through Jira; collaborate with vendors and stakeholders.
