Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the Global Cloud Infrastructure team. You will help teams leverage public clouds securely, reliably, and cost-effectively, turning cloud data into actionable insights and supporting operational processes.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, analyzing usage data, and modernizing reporting while collaborating with finance, engineering, and vendors. Hybrid work and occasional travel are part of the role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Foundational understanding of cloud computing and IT service concepts.
Strong Excel skills with formulas, lookups, pivots, validation, and analysis.
Analytical, problem-solving with data interpretation and validation.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to learn new technologies, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
Customer-service orientation and collaborative teamwork.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations if required.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain cloud cost, utilization, and performance dashboards.
Analyze cloud billing and usage data for trends, forecasting, and showback processes.
Support cloud operations by handling access requests and escalation coordination.
Modernize reporting by transitioning to enterprise data warehouse and BI tools.
Evaluate emerging cloud/AI technologies and assist with PoCs and governance.
Maintain documentation, track work in Jira, and collaborate with stakeholders.
