Job summary

Empower LLC in the United States is seeking a Lead Analyst, Cloud Financial Operations to oversee the financial management of our data platforms. You will build visibility into cloud spend, manage budgets, track contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities to empower technology and business leaders.

You will work with platform teams, procurement, and finance to develop dashboards and models, monitor renewals, and drive repeatable processes in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or analytics field.
• 5+ years Cloud FinOps or cloud spend management experience.
• Strong Excel skills for budgeting and modeling.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, contracts, and spend metrics.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud cost reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work across technology, finance, procurement, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial reporting for enterprise data platforms, including budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, and other cost metrics.
• Build and maintain an inventory of platform expenses, cloud consumption, contracts, licenses, and renewals.
• Analyze spending against budget, identify variances and trends, and provide cost insights.
• Monitor cloud costs, with initial focus on AWS, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Consolidate financial and usage information from multiple teams and vendors.
• Partner with stakeholders to validate data and support financial decisions.
• Develop spreadsheets, reports, dashboards, and financial models for leadership.
• Support contract and license planning by monitoring renewals and utilization.
• Provide recommendations to improve financial management and budgeting processes.
• Expand reporting across additional data platforms as needs grow.
