Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Cloud Network Security Architecture Manager to lead secure network and cloud architecture design across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments. You will guide TIC 3.0 modernization, enterprise gateway operations, and security decisions to support VA OIT connectivity and compliance.

You will collaborate with engineering, cyber, and operations teams to align solutions with VA objectives, manage risks, and communicate architectural impacts to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience designing or managing cloud, network, or security architectures.
• Hands-on familiarity with AWS, Azure, hybrid networking, firewalls, DNS, and IAM concepts.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and federal cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Coordinate across multiple teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Support escalations or critical events when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure architecture design across AWS, Azure, and VA enterprise networks.
• Guide TIC 3.0 modernization and support gateway operations.
• Manage security, compliance, and performance across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Partner with engineering, cyber, and operations teams to align solutions with VA objectives.
• Communicate risks and architecture decisions to leadership.
• Evaluate new technologies and coordinate modernization pilots.
• Support high-level troubleshooting for cloud network security and gateway issues.
• Lead gateway redesign or refresh efforts as needed.
• Mentor engineers and promote secure architecture best practices.
• Assist with requirements development, design documentation, and validation planning.
