Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team in support of Amazon's global infrastructure.

You will help design, operate, and scale core networking for the Retail and Web Services platforms, driving reliability and performance in a fast-paced cloud environment. The role emphasizes automation, change management, capacity planning, and collaboration with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex routing and interconnectivity issues,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl.

Responsibilities

• Network capacity planning for core networks and ensuring redundancy.
• Troubleshoot routing and interconnectivity problems and system failures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to diagnose issues.
• Escalate to vendors to diagnose problems and facilitate part replacement.
• Participate in large-scale events and drive change management.
• Create and maintain documentation of processes and troubleshooting.
