Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Network Deployment Technician to design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure across data center and colocation sites. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and maintain strong communication while driving changes.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in networking and Linux, plus a BS degree or equivalent experience. Role involves up to 50% travel, physical lifting to 40 lbs, and working in data center environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer networking experience.
• 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure routers, switches and DWDM hardware.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations and configuration.
• Lead small to mid-size network deployment projects.
• Coordinate colocation remote hands for new capacity installations.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders and ensure safety and quality standards.
