Job summary

AWS is hiring a Network Deploy Technician to join our infrastructure operations team in the United States. You will work with minimal supervision to drive stability and scalability of next-generation networks and help automate network operations.

Responsibilities include scaling support across data centers, coordinating with internal customers and vendors, and applying best practices to deploy and troubleshoot enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Traveling within and outside of regional work area is required.
