Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced software engineer in Maryland to design and optimize cloud-native applications and infrastructure. You will develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot or Python, containerize with Docker, and apply IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation within a Kubernetes environment.

You will also orchestrate data pipelines, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with data architects and DevOps teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph is required.
• Eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; substitution rule applies.
• One of the following Cloud Developer Certifications is required: AWS Dev-Associate, AWS DevOps Pro, CKAD, Elastic Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize highly available cloud-native apps and infrastructure.
• Develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices with Java Spring Boot or Python.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized apps using Docker; optimize image layering, security, and performance.
• Implement IaC to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Create interactive data-driven dashboards and visualizations using modern front-end frameworks.
