Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our Austin-based team. You will administer and optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL systems, including Cloud SQL, in a high-volume, cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of prior work experience in database administration.
• Experience administering MongoDB and PostgreSQL, with transactional replication expertise.
• Experience with GCP Cloud SQL PostgreSQL and PostgreSQL management.
• Familiarity with Memorystore for Redis, AlloyDB, Spanner and BigQuery preferred.
• Experience with Terraform and GitHub for IaC and DB changes.
• Experience with high-availability architectures and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize high-volume MongoDB and PostgreSQL systems (including Cloud SQL).
• Design and own Terraform modules for GCP databases: Cloud SQL, Memorystore, AlloyDB, Spanner, BigQuery.
• Manage large transactional replication; use BigQuery as a replication target and tune性能.
• Implement changes via IaC (Terraform) with CI/CD integration.
• Establish backup/restore, PITR, HA/failover testing, DR runbooks, and a DB support plan.
• Collaborate on schema reviews, query optimization, and BigQuery governance.
• Handle security/audit tasks; support incident response and on-call rotations.
