Job summary

Redapt Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Engineer on the Cloud Solutions team to design, modernize, and optimize database solutions for cloud-native and enterprise applications. You will leverage PostgreSQL along with AWS database services to deliver scalable and secure data platforms.

You will work closely with software engineers to improve query efficiency, implement automation, and drive platform modernization with proven engineering practices across CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in database engineering or related roles with production workloads.
• Hands-on with production relational databases, AWS-focused.
• Deep expertise in Amazon RDS and Aurora PostgreSQL, configuration, performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure relational database solutions for cloud-native and enterprise apps.
• Model data structures, schemas, tables, constraints, indexes, and partitioning strategies.
• Develop and maintain SQL, procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Tune performance using execution plans, indexing, and configuration tuning.
• Plan migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization with data integrity and rollback.
