Job summary

VTG is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications, including cloud-based solutions and modernization of legacy systems. You will work with customers, analysts, engineers, and developers to meet operational and technical requirements.

The role requires proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, and XML, plus experience with cloud services, web-based applications, and version control (Git).

Qualifications

• BS degree required.
• 11–15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, XML).
• Experience developing, managing, and maintaining web-based software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain software applications for cloud environments.
• Migrate and modernize legacy applications to the cloud.
• Develop database architecture to support performance.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests.
• Produce technical documentation and program comments.
• Collaborate with customers and teams to meet requirements.
• Troubleshoot defects and implement corrective changes.
• Provide O&M support for operational software systems.
