Job summary

VT Group is seeking a Software Engineer-Expert in Chantilly, VA to support Entitlement Programs, IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. The role includes leading a development team and collaborating with architects to deliver secure IT solutions.

Required: 12+ years of full-stack experience (Java, Spring Boot, Angular/TypeScript), TS/SCI with Poly, strong AWS, Git/Jenkins, Selenium, and REST API development.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of prior relevant experience in software development.
• Experience across multiple programming languages (Java, Spring Boot, Angular/TypeScript) and Cloud/AWS.
• Full Stack Development with modern web technologies and API design.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tasking of a small-medium size development team.
• Collaboratively work with leadership and architects on design, planning, statusing, and architecture.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for integrations and tasking delivery.
• Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications.
• Experience in modernization of legacy applications.
• Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances.
• Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services.
• Experience creating RESTful API.
• Experience with spring boot.
• Develop Java and Angular (Typescript).
• Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology.
• Strong communication, design, and documentation skills.
• Strong time and workflow management skills.
• Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium.
• Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies.
• Willingness to mentor and teach developers’ community best practices in a constructive fashion.
• Ability to methodically think through technical challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience
• Must have experience in multiple programming languages (Java, spring boot, Angular (Typescript), and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services)
• Full Stack Development
• Prior experience developing solutions to satisfy customer requirements and specifications
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, selenium, and Rundeck
• Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)
