Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to leverage data science for complex analytic problems in robust, multi-tenant cloud environments. You will develop prototypes and advance ML/statistics for mission problems, applying state-of-the-art techniques on large-scale data.

The role may support partial telework and requires a current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance (within 7 years). This is a highly technical, growth-oriented position with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; associate degree with two years’ experience or five years’ experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years in a combined programming role using Java, C++, or Python within the last ten years.
• 5+ years designing and developing applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments within seven years.
• 1+ year of experience with databases like MongoDB, Bigtable, Postgres, or similar within three years.
• 1+ year of experience with distributed batch/stream processing such as Spark, Beam, or Databricks within three years.
• 1+ year of experience with distributed file/object storage like S3, HDFS within three years.
• 1+ year experience with object-oriented design and requirements analysis in the last three years.
• Within two years, 6 months of development experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data science advances to support analytic problems including discovery, tracking, and attribution.
• Develop evolving operational prototypes for behavioral, geo-temporal, social, and content analysis in multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Research and advance the science of machine learning and statistics for mission problems.
