Job summary

The Phoenix Group is seeking an IT Support Specialist in New York to respond to and resolve a range of hardware, software, network, and security issues. You will install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, including cloud environments, and provide expert troubleshooting in a 100% cloud-based support setting.

You'll assist with user accounts, MFA/SSO, and contribute to cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is required.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of MFA, SSO, and network security basics.
• Experience supporting remote and onsite users.
• Ability to manage multiple tickets and escalations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve technical support requests related to hardware, software, network, and security issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, and software, including cloud-based environments and on-premises systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, applications, and network connectivity issues in a 100% cloud-based support environment.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, access permissions, and security protocols including 2FA and SSO.
• Support cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including basic configuration, maintenance, and documentation.
• Conduct foundational Linux server administration and system maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with IT team members on security, networking, and infrastructure support, including security concepts and network security best practices.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of systems, procedures, and support workflows; contribute to technical manuals and user guides.
• Support ongoing security initiatives such as identity management, password policies, and security incident response.
