Job summary

Sierra is hiring a Software Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, spanning multi-tenant and single-tenant deployments across AWS, GCP, and soon Azure. You will scale and secure deployments, improving tooling and reliability for customers.

You’ll work with Go primarily, building durable systems, and drive incident response, observability, and compliance-ready environments. This role emphasizes automation, scalability, and cross-cloud expansion.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on software or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Broad infra experience across at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep expertise in at least one layer of the stack (compute, orchestration, networking, or deploys).
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong coding skills with a bias toward automation; Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Sierra’s cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP (and Azure soon).
• Simplify deployments to be repeatable and predictable across regions.
• Stand up multi-tenant regions and single-tenant environments for regulated customers.
• Help build compliant environments including FedRAMP deployments.
• Own and improve deploys and releases; invest in tooling and developer experience.
