Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to maintain secure, scalable cloud and on‑premises services across enterprise environments. You will design, implement, and support infrastructure across Azure, Azure Government, and AWS, manage Windows and Linux platforms, and ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on Azure, Azure Government, AWS and hybrid cloud experience.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, AD, IAM, SSO, SAML, Service Principals, Managed Identities.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux in enterprise environments.
• Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
• Strong troubleshooting across infra, apps, identity, and networking.
• Experience managing certificates, SSL/TLS, PKI, security technologies.
• Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, ITAR, FedRAMP, or SOX.
• Exposure to AI tools like Copilot, Azure AI/OpenAI.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud/hybrid infrastructure across Azure, Azure Gov, and AWS.
• Administer Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, IAM, service principals, managed identities.
• Monitor health, security, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and requests.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or cloud-native tools.
• Support SQL Server and Oracle environments and related connectivity.
• Lead cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.
