Job summary

Chime is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platform team. You will automate scaling, monitoring, and operations across cloud-based services and develop tooling in Ruby on Rails and Go.

You will design and support cloud infrastructure using IaC, maintain Terraform modules, and manage Kubernetes Helm charts and CD pipelines to ensure security, scalability, and high availability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.
• DevOps/SRE/ProdEng experience supporting customer-facing web services.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Helm charts.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, message buses, and caching services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and monitoring/observability platforms.

Responsibilities

• Automate scaling, monitoring, and operations across systems.
• Build self-service tooling for the team and broader Chime engineering using Ruby on Rails and Go.
• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure with automation and IaC, including Terraform modules.
• Develop tools and processes to enhance security, scalability, and availability; manage Kubernetes Helm charts and CD pipelines.
• Partner with product engineers to build services following modern design patterns (e.g., 12 Factor App).
• Cultivate strong cross-team relationships with engineers and managers.
