Job summary

Chime is seeking an Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Platform team to develop tools that automate cloud infrastructure and enable scalable, reliable services. You will work with Terraform modules, Kubernetes Helm charts, and CI/CD pipelines using Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.

You will partner with product engineers to build services following modern design patterns and maintain strong cross-team collaboration. A focus on security, scalability, and availability is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.
• Experience in DevOps/SRE/ProdEng roles supporting customer-facing services.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes, Helm charts, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog).

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to create and maintain cloud infrastructure and automate management of complex service-oriented apps.
• Build frameworks to ensure stability and scalability of Chime's platform.
• Automate scaling, monitoring, and operations; enable self-service across engineering teams.
• Maintain Terraform modules and cloud infrastructure via IaC.
• Manage Kubernetes Helm charts and support continuous deployments.
• Collaborate with product engineers to apply modern design patterns and strong communication.
