Job summary

Chime is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Software Engineer to join the team that builds and operates Terraform, ArgoCD, AWS resources, and internal tooling. You will develop tools to create and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate management of complex service-oriented apps, and create frameworks for platform stability and scalability.

Qualifications

• More than 2 years of cloud and infrastructure experience.
• Strong development experience in Ruby on Rails and Go Lang.
• DevOps/SRE/ProdEng experience supporting customer-facing web services.
• Proven ability to partner and communicate with other engineers and teams.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes Helm charts.
• Experience building highly-available public cloud infrastructure focusing on stability, scalability, and security.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, incl. Terraform modules.
• Experience with relational or no-SQL databases, message buses, caching services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms and continuous deployments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability platforms.
• Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, customer focus.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Automate scaling, monitoring, and operations.
• Build tools to enable self-service across teams; tooling in Ruby on Rails and Go.
• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure with IaC; maintain Terraform modules.
• Develop tools and processes for security, scalability, availability; manage Kubernetes Helm charts and CD.
• Partner with product engineers to build services according to modern design patterns (e.g., 12 Factor App).
• Foster strong relationships with engineers, managers, and colleagues based on trust and technical excellence.
