Job summary

Outscale is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate the IaaS layer of our cloud. You will automate infrastructure, expand services to new regions, and ensure security, reliability, and performance. Collaborate across platforms to implement best practices and deliver production-ready cloud solutions.

The role requires SaltStack/Ansible expertise, Terraform pipelines, and strong Linux automation skills, with a focus on scale, resilience, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 8 years of Linux system administration and infrastructure virtualization.
• Strong scripting in Bash and Python; AWS core services knowledge.
• Expertise with SaltStack or Ansible; IaC tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and operate the Outscale cloud with best-practice patterns.
• Build and maintain IaC pipelines with Terraform, Ansible/SaltStack, Jenkins.
• Own the full lifecycle of the IaaS environment with emphasis on automation.
• Automate deployments, region expansions, and release pipelines.
• Define KPIs, build observability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Zabbix.
• Ensure security, resiliency, and cost-efficient operations.
• Write runbooks, conduct knowledge transfers, and participate in on-call rotations.
