PowerToFly is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate the IaaS layer. You’ll drive automation, expand services to new regions, and ensure security, resilience, and compliance.
You will own the lifecycle of the IaaS environment, build IaC pipelines with Terraform, Ansible/SaltStack, Packer, Jenkins, and work with observability tools to keep systems healthy.
Are you ready to invent the future of cloud infrastructure ? Join us to shape a new era in cloud computing and build a career that matches your ambition. We are looking for Cloud Engineers to design, deploy, and operate the InfrastructureasaService (IaaS) layer of the Outscale cloud.
You will work at the intersection of our PlatformasaService (PaaS) and the underlying physical infrastructure, driving automation, expanding services to new regions, and ensuring the platform is secure, resilient, highperforming, and compliant. You will partner with infrastructure development, automation, and operations teams to implement cloud best practices and deliver productionready, compliant cloud solutions.

• Own the full lifecycle of our IaaS environment, from initial provisioning to continuous supervision, placing a strong emphasis on process automation.
• Automate and industrialise deployments, updates, and regional expansions; ensure repeatable, auditable release pipelines.
• Propose and implement system improvements that boost performance, resilience, and costefficiency.
• Contribute directly to the technological evolution of the platform.
• Define, implement, and refine critical KPIs (SLI, SLO, SLA).
• Build and maintain observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK) to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Identify and remediate single points of failure and security risks; ensure system resiliency.
• Analyse and address performance and scalability challenges with durable solutions.
• Write clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
• Conduct knowledgetransfer sessions and internal training to keep the team uptodate.
• Perform deepdive investigations on escalations from clientsupport.
• Participate in oncall rotations and provide timely resolutions.
• Strengthen relationships with internal (development, security, product) and external (vendors, partners) teams to foster a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Assist in capacity planning and roadmap development for future infrastructure growth.
• Ensure all cloud engineering practices comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., VA standards).
