Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for Data Center Design Engineering in Seattle, WA. You will influence mechanical design, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and site infrastructure across our global data-centre fleet.

Qualifications

6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

Drive improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
Review designs to meet established design standards, local codes, and AHJ requirements.
Provide high quality mechanical engineering advice on a wide variety of projects globally.
Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams.
Prepare detailed designs for HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems.
Possess ability to travel up to 25%.
