Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer in Cupertino, CA. You will join a program team to design, debug, validate, and optimize cloud server hardware, engaging with internal and external teams to drive product definition and testing across the lifecycle.

You will gain hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing, with a focus on thermal, mechanical, electrical, and reliability analysis, as well as PCB layout and automated test tools development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Support thermal, mechanical, electrical, or reliability analysis and design of server hardware
• Perform design simulation (thermal, structural, signal integrity, or power)
• Validate hardware and debug issues at the board, system, or rack level
• Develop and execute test plans for hardware qualification and reliability
• Characterize materials and components for server applications
• Support PCB schematic and layout reviews
• Develop automated test tools and data analysis methods
• Travel to support engineering builds at manufacturing partners
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including firmware, software, and manufacturing
