Job summary

Amazon is looking for a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to join a program team and support design, debug, validation, and optimization of cloud server hardware from concept through production. You will work with inter-disciplinary teams and outside partners to drive product definition, execution, and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with server hardware concepts and hardware design is preferred.
• Programming or scripting skills (Python, MATLAB) for data analysis or automation.
• Experience with simulation and 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Support thermal, mechanical, electrical, or reliability analysis and design of server hardware.
• Perform design simulation (thermal, structural, signal integrity, or power).
• Validate hardware and debug issues at board, system, or rack level.
• Develop automated test tools and data analysis methods.
• Travel to support engineering builds at manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, software, and manufacturing.
