Job summary

The Wendy's Company in Dublin, OH is seeking an Engineer of Cloud Foundations to implement and maintain foundational infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of cloud platforms.

This role requires hands-on IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and cloud security expertise, plus collaboration with FinOps, engineering, and operations to align capabilities with business goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation to deploy foundational cloud components across multi-cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and governance frameworks including IAM, encryption, policy enforcement, and compliance.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and cost optimization tools; familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or native cloud cost explorers.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Design & Implementation across multi-cloud environments (networking, IAM, logging, monitoring).
• Automation & CI/CD Enablement using Terraform, Jenkins, and GitHub workflows for scalable deployments.
• Security & Governance: RBAC, policy enforcement, audit logging, and compliance adherence.
• Platform Reliability & Operations: monitor performance, availability, and cost; collaborate with product and platform teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with FinOps, data engineering, and product teams to align services with business needs.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: maintain architecture docs and mentor engineers across teams.
