Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Senior Database Engineering Lead with deep expertise in Oracle databases and the AWS data ecosystem. The role combines hands-on database work with people leadership to drive cloud-enabled data platforms across hybrid environments.

You will mentor engineers, design scalable OLTP/OLAP data models, oversee migrations to AWS, implement high availability and DR, and collaborate with Cloud Architects, Engineering, DevOps, and product teams to enable

Qualifications

12–15+ years of Oracle and other RDBMS experience.
Hands-on database development and administration while leading engineering teams.
Strong expertise with AWS data services and SQL/PLSQL optimization.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of database development engineers and contribute hands-on to complex solutions.
Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases and AWS-native data services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift).
Lead data migration and modernization from on-premises to AWS.
Develop and optimize data models for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies (RMAN, Data Guard, AWS Backup).
Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, scalability, and security hardening of data platforms.
Mentor and manage performance, enforce coding standards, and act as a hands-on expert for complex issues.
Plan, prioritize, and execute projects aligned with product roadmaps.
Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure using CloudWatch, Performance Insights, etc.
Participate in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
