Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Senior Database Engineering Lead to drive design, development, and optimization of scalable Oracle and AWS-based data solutions across hybrid environments.

The role combines hands-on database expertise with people leadership, guiding migration projects and performance tuning while ensuring security and compliance. Join a cloud transformation initiative and mentor a growing team.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of experience in Oracle and other RDBMS technologies.
• Hands-on database development and administration while leading engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, and S3.
• Proven success delivering complex database initiatives in large-scale environments.
• Experience with AWS DMS, SCT, or equivalent data-migration tools.
• SQL/PLSQL, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of database development engineers and contribute hands-on to deliver complex solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases and AWS-native data services.
• Lead data migration and modernization from on-prem to AWS.
• Develop and optimize data models for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Implement high availability, DR, and backup strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and AWS Backup.
• Mentor teams and ensure coding standards across data platforms.
• Plan and execute projects aligned with product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations.
