Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a Senior Database Engineering Lead in the United States (Massachusetts) to drive design, development, and optimization of scalable data solutions in hybrid environments. You will mentor a team while delivering complex database initiatives across cloud and on-premises systems.

The role combines hands-on database expertise with people leadership, focusing on Oracle, AWS data services, data migration to AWS, and performance tuning in enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of experience with Oracle and other RDBMS technologies.
• Hands-on database development and administration while leading engineering teams.
• Strong experience with AWS data services: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, S3.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of database development engineers and contribute as a hands-on contributor.
• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases and AWS-native data services.
• Lead data migration and modernization from on-premises to AWS.
• Develop and optimize data models for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
• Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and security hardening.
• Mentor and manage performance; ensure coding standards.
• Plan and execute projects aligned with product roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure using observability tools.
